In Office or Take Home Whitening

In Office Whitening

Professional in-office teeth whitening is the most popular cosmetic dental procedure in the world today. Unlike home-use whitening systems that incorporate low-dose bleaching agents, in-office whitening (also known as power bleaching, power whitening, professional whitening or chairside whitening) takes place under carefully monitored conditions which allow for the safe, controlled, pain-free use of a relatively high concentration of bleaching gel yielding results that are visible immediately

Having a beautiful smile may be even easier than you think. Many people achieve the look they’ve been dreaming of with our simple “bleaching” procedure.

Take Home Whitening

Professional take home teeth whitening kits are available in our office. They contain a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide and provide excellent results in 1 – 2 weeks of prescribed use. Custom fit trays keep the whitening solution on the surface of the tooth to be whitened.

Key Benefits

  • Corrects brown, yellow and spotted tooth staining
  • Works on people of any age
  • Is a near permanent solution for a “dull” smile, restoring brightness and brings a smile alive

Using the latest in whitening technology, we can offer a safe method for creating a beautiful “brilliant” smile.

How is it done?

An impression is taken to make a specialized “mouthguard” or “stent” to hold the bleach against the teeth. The material is used either overnight or for an hour per day, depending on the shade of your teeth. Resultswillbe apparentwithin a week or two, and at the end of this time, significant whitening will occur. In some cases, the change is nothing short of brilliant. For confidence in appearance, bleaching technology allows us to promise improvements in yellowing, aging or stained teeth. For very severely stained teeth, crowns or veneers may be more appropriate.

Over the counter bleaching agents are available for purchase at drug stores and pharmacies. However, the products that Dr. Patil recommends are much more effective. Dr. Patil also customizes the type of bleach to your individual needs.
